According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) radon accounts for approximately 21,000 lung cancer deaths per year, second only to smoking. Our inspectors have been trained and certified by the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) to accurately measure radon levels in the home. Test are conducted over a 48 hour period and results are available within 24 hours.
Wood Destroying Insects
According to National Pest Management Association termites cause $5 billion dollars in property damage each year. In New York State subterranean termites are most abundant in the southern counties adjacent to the Hudson River and on Long Island.
Although the subterranean termite is the most common and well known type of wood destroying insect (WDI) there is also the powderpost beetle, old house borer, black carpenter ant and the carpenter bee which your inspector will also look for.
Our inspectors are certified and licensed by New York State to perfom WDI inspections. You will receive a completed NPMA-33 report which is required by some banks and mortage lenders.
Our inspectors can perform a water quality test on the home's drinking water. We can run a basic 8 profile test (coliform, conductivity, total dissolved solids, pH, hardness, lead, copper and iron) or any of these tests individually. Results are received in approximately 5 - 6 business days (faster results can be received with an additional fee to the base cost). Because of the length of time to receive the results, buyers can have stipulations written into the contract pending water quality results.
